Perspectives of Hong Kong Architecture
Danish architectural firm Henning + Larsen has recently submitted a draft of K-12 school, which, according to Design Director Louis Becker, was specially designed for dry and temperate climate of Hong Kong.
The school is a towering, outside structure that directs its inside temperature to a great extent through protected dividers and passing breezes.
All through a significant part of the year in Hong Kong, the temperature is mellow and dry.
“We can utilize that to have a great deal of open air spaces,” Becker says.
Dabbing the grounds are many plants, trees, and hanging gardens. The running track itself isn’t a standard oval yet a spaghetti-like course that weaves all through the structures.
